Steve Franklin’s winning time of 32:12 was 4 seconds inside last year’s time and sets a new course record! Steve won by a whopping 2 minutes and 15 seconds!

Fastest Local Men

1. Mike Nolan (V50) – 35:12 – 5th overall
2. Ed Richardson (V40) – 38:06 – 16th overall
3. Andy Barnett – (V50) – 40:53 – 46th overall

Fastest Local Women

1. Julia Nolan – (V50) – 44:53 – 91st overall
2. Jane Crowson (V50) – 45:36 – =96th overall
3. Anna Paxton (Open) – 46:01 – 103rd overall

We also experimented this year with seeing who the fastest village is. Initially this was out of interest to see how the local villages stack up against each other, but the reality was that the majority of runners were from Sheffield. So where a runner specified Sheffield as their location we have used the first half of their post code. This is perhaps a little too crude so next year we will change the way we ask for the information. It makes for some interesting reading though.

For fastest Village and fastest Club the parameters were:

Men – combined time of the fastest 3 male runners from a club

Women – combined time of the fastest 3 female runners from a club

Combined – 2 men and 2 women (i.e. to be ranked you needed at least 2 men and 2 women running)
